mother and two daughters, one sitting on a large fallen tree. at a lake with a building in the background.

My name is Sky. I am a mother to three girls, a wife, and a birth worker.

My passion for birth, mothers, and their babies began in 2010 when my own mother discovered she was pregnant with twins. I dove head first into all of the books on birth that I could get my hands on. The work has come in and out of my life since then, through meeting my husband and starting my own family.

I had three very different births that all transformed me in unbelievable ways. I’ve birthed in and out (and then in again) the hospital, with and without pain meds, with and without a doula. I have also had two pregnancies end in the first trimester, where I was tended at home by my loved ones. My beliefs have been radicalized, broken open, and then found a home somewhere in the middle. What never wavered though, was my passion for a family-led birth, the motherbaby dyad, and a nourished post partum.

I believe birth is a sacred rite of passage that is meant to be transformative. I believe every family deserves to feel supported and loved through the childbearing year. I want to hold women, feed them, tend to their needs and their fears, and I want to serve.

I am always learning new things that I would love to incorporate into my care. Some of these things are currently herbalism, homeopathy, cooking, and eventually photography.
